Virtual Documentary Night: Anita [Voting Night]

**YOU MUST WATCH THE FILM ON YOUR OWN BEFORE THIS EVENT**

For this Virtual Documentary Night we have voted in honor of Women's History Month to talk about the documentary, [Anita](https://documentarynight.wordpress.com/2026/02/22/anita/). This film tells the story of Anita Hill, the young African American lawyer who accused the Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas of unwanted sexual advances during explosive Senate Hearings in 1991 and ignited a political firestorm about sexual harassment, race, power and politics that resonates 20 years later today. This is a Voting Night, which means at the end of the night we brainstorm and vote to decide as a group what we will watch the following month, so please come ready with your recommendation. The only requirement is that the film must be available to watch online for free. If you need any ideas, you can search through the Flyers Page on the Community Documentary Night website. It is full of flyers based around certain themes and each flyer is full of documentary posters, which are hyperlinked to where you watch the films for free. Something to consider is that next month is April, which is Earth Month. Again, you must watch the film on your own BEFORE the event. We will be meeting over Zoom, where we will break out into small discussion groups. We will do multiple rounds of small group discussion, then have a special guest Q&A, before closing out the night with a vote to decide what film we will watch the following month.
