Link to the film is in the info below.

For this Special Virtual Documentary Night, in honor of Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we are meeting to talk about the documentary, [No Crying At The Dinner Table](https://documentarynight.wordpress.com/2026/04/19/no-crying-at-the-dinner-table/). Filmmaker Carol Nguyen interviews her own family to craft an emotionally complex and meticulously composed portrait of intergenerational trauma, grief, and secrets in this cathartic documentary about things left unsaid. Director Carol Nguyen will be joining us for a special guest Q&A!

This event is posted in multiple meetup groups, and on [Eventbrite](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/special-virtual-documentary-night-tickets-1985108671474), as well as with members of the [Community Documentary Night](https://documentarynight.wordpress.com/) email list. (Message me if interested in joining the email list) Therefore, THIS RSVP LIST IS NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE ATTENDING THE EVENT. So even if you only see one person RSVPed in this meetup group, there will always be others in attendance from other groups. We tend to have at least 20 on average. By inviting numerous groups that increases the likelihood that those in attendance will be from varying backgrounds and beliefs. This is done purposefully to provide everyone with the opportunity to hear a wide range of perspectives.
