Special Virtual Documentary Night: Leona's Sister Gerri

[YOU MUST WATCH THE FILM ON YOUR OWN BEFORE THE EVENT](https://vimeo.com/705801677)

Link to the film is in the info below.

For this Special Virtual Documentary Night, in honor of Women's History Month, we are meeting to talk about the documentary, Leona's Sister Gerri. The film tells the story of Gerri Santoro, a working-class mother of two and the "real person" in the now famous photo of an anonymous woman on a motel floor dead from an illegal abortion. Reprinted thousands of times on placards, and in the media, this grisly photo became a pro-choice icon. Should the media have used this image? What circumstances led to Gerri's tragic death? Director Jane Gillooly will be joining us for a special guest Q&A!
