Virtual Documentary Night: Dolores [Voting Night]

**YOU MUST WATCH THE FILM ON YOUR OWN BEFORE THIS EVENT**

For this Virtual Documentary Night we have voted in honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month and Labor Day to talk about the documentary, [Dolores](https://documentarynight.wordpress.com/2026/08/14/dolores/). With intimate and unprecedented access, Peter Bratt’s Dolores tells the story of Dolores Huerta, among the most important, yet least-known, activists in American history. Co-founder of the first farmworkers union with Cesar Chavez, she tirelessly led the fight for racial and labor justice, becoming one of the most defiant feminists of the 20th century. This is a Voting Night, which means at the end of the night we brainstorm and vote to decide as a group what we will watch the following month, so please come ready with your recommendation. The only requirement is that the film must be available to watch online for free. If you need any ideas, you can search through the Flyers Page on the Community Documentary Night website. It is full of flyers based around certain themes and each flyer is full of documentary posters, which are hyperlinked to where you watch the films for free. Something to consider is that next month is October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We will do multiple rounds of small group discussion, then have a special guest Q&A, before closing out the night with a vote to decide what film we will watch the fol
