This Independence Day weekend, South Florida’s Vegan scene is coming alive with two back-to-back community events blending movement, music, food, and conscious connection. Vegans Explore is proud to support and participate in both gatherings, working alongside Badass Vegan, Vegan Block Party, and Uncommon Path Brewing to amplify the energy and bring more visibility to local plant-based culture.
Friday, July 4 –
Explore the Block: Run + After Party
The weekend kicks off Friday evening at 6:30 PM with Explore the Block—a free community run and social hosted in Fort Lauderdale’s Thrive Art District. Led by wellness advocate and filmmaker John Lewis, aka Badass Vegan, the all-levels run/walk sets the tone for the weekend with movement and unity.
Following the run, attendees gather at Uncommon Path Brewing for a DJ-backed after party curated by Connect Records. Expect Vegan-friendly bites, cold drinks, and a casual space to connect with other plant-based folks and supporters. A $5 suggested donation unlocks a discount wristband for 20% off drinks, with proceeds supporting community programming and event partners.
This free event is also the official pre-party for Vegan Block Party—South Florida’s largest plant-based festival happening the very next day.
Saturday, July 5 –
Vegan Block Party at Esplanade Park
On Saturday, from 3PM–9PM, Esplanade Park in Downtown Fort Lauderdale transforms into a plant-based paradise with over 70 vendors, interactive contests, family-friendly activities, and a diverse showcase of food, drink, art, and lifestyle brands.
Badass Vegan returns as host of the main stage, with Vegans Explore supporting elements of the programming. The event creates an inclusive space for education, celebration, and conscious commerce—whether you’re a seasoned Vegan or just curious to explore the lifestyle.
With general admission at $12 and VIP tickets at $50 (which include a swag bag, early perks, and a complimentary drink), this is one of the most accessible and high-energy Vegan festivals in the Southeast.
