Vegans Explore founder Sean A. Russell is leaving his home base of Orlando behind for a few days, heading to New York City to launch the brand's first official tour stop outside of South Florida.
The trip is built around the Plant Based World Expo, where Sean plans to capture footage, talk with exhibitors, and connect with as many people in the community as possible. It also marks a milestone for the Vegans Explore Podcast, which launched November 1, 2025 with a commitment to post an episode every single day through World Vegan Day on November 1, 2026. This NYC trip lands the show on episode 31.
Sean credits the daily cadence with keeping him focused. Instead of chasing whatever new idea grabs his attention, the show forces him to show up, reflect on what is working, and dig into what the vegan community actually needs.
One gap Sean keeps running into: there is no single place to browse vegan events, restaurants, and resources at a glance. Apps like Happy Cow help, but they require knowing what to search for. Vegans Explore is building a full, scrollable directory instead, including a growing global map of vegan events on every continent except Antarctica.
Sean says every tour stop is meant to leave behind a trail of breadcrumbs back to Vegans Explore, and New York is the next test of that idea.
